Privacy policy

Last updated August 2026. The short version: we use your information to shop coverage for you, and we do not sell it.

We do not sell or share your personal information for money or for cross-context behavioural advertising. We are an insurance brokerage, not a lead-generation business. Your quote request goes to the licensed advisor assigned to you and to the carriers you ask us to quote — nowhere else.

1. Who we are

PolicySherpas Insurance Services LLC ("PolicySherpas", "we", "us") is an independent insurance producer and, through an affiliated registered investment adviser, a provider of financial planning and wealth management services. Our address is 4651 Salisbury Rd, Suite 400, Jacksonville, FL 32256. Our national producer number is 21094887. This policy covers www.policysherpas.com and any quote or consultation form on it.

2. Information we collect

Technical dataIP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, a session identifierSecurity, fraud prevention and understanding which pages help people

We collect this information directly from you when you complete a form, call us or email us. With your authorisation, carriers and underwriters may also obtain information from consumer reporting agencies, the Medical Information Bureau, prescription-history databases, motor vehicle records and property claim databases. Those authorisations are presented separately at application, not at quote.

We do not ask for a Social Security number, bank account or payment card to produce a quote. Where a carrier requires an SSN at the application stage, it is collected on the carrier's own secure application, not on this site.

3. How we use it

  • To shop coverage: sending the information you provide to insurers so they can quote and underwrite
  • To communicate: confirming your request, sending your comparison and following up once
  • To service policies placed through us, including annual reviews and renewal notices
  • To comply with insurance, anti-money-laundering, suitability and recordkeeping law
  • To secure the site, detect fraudulent submissions and debug problems
  • To improve our guides and forms in aggregate — which questions people abandon, which pages help

We do not use your information to train third-party advertising profiles, and we do not run behavioural retargeting pixels on the quote forms.

4. When we disclose it

We disclose personal information only to:

  • Insurance carriers and their underwriters, to obtain quotes and place coverage you request
  • Service providers under contract — email delivery, secure hosting, document e-signature, our agency management system — who may use it only to perform services for us
  • Your appointed advisor, who is a licensed producer
  • Regulators, courts and law enforcement, where legally required, including state insurance department market conduct examinations
  • A successor entity, if our business is acquired, subject to this policy continuing to apply

We have not sold personal information, and have not shared it for cross-context behavioural advertising, in the preceding twelve months. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what we hold, to obtain a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to limit use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of those rights. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana and other states with comprehensive privacy statutes have these rights by law; we extend the same process to everyone who asks.

To make a request: email privacy@policysherpas.com from the address you used with us, call (904) 555-0142, or use the contact form and select "Privacy request". We acknowledge within 10 business days and respond within 45 days, extendable once by another 45 days if we tell you why. We verify your identity before acting, and an authorised agent may act for you with written permission.

We will decline deletion only for records we are legally required to keep — for example, records of a policy we placed, which insurance regulations require us to retain for a set period. We will tell you specifically which records we are retaining and why.

6. Communications and consent

When you submit a quote form you consent to be contacted about that request by the method you selected, including by phone, text and email at the number and address you gave us, potentially using automated dialling technology. That consent is not a condition of purchasing anything. You may withdraw it at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in any email, or telling your advisor. Withdrawing consent does not affect coverage already in force.

7. Cookies and analytics

This site uses a small number of first-party cookies and a session identifier for security, form continuity and aggregate analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on quote pages. We honour Global Privacy Control signals sent by your browser. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the quote forms still work, but partially completed forms may not be recoverable.

8. How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest. Access is restricted to the advisor assigned to your file and staff who need it to do their job, under role-based permissions and mandatory annual privacy training. We retain quote data for 24 months if no policy is placed, and for the period required by insurance recordkeeping law where a policy is placed. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will notify you and the relevant regulators as required by state law.

9. Financial privacy notice (GLBA)

Federal law gives you the right to limit some but not all sharing of nonpublic personal financial information. Because we do not share your information with non-affiliates for their own marketing, there is nothing for you to opt out of. Our full annual privacy notice under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act is available on request and is delivered with every policy we place.

10. Changes and contact

We will post any change here with a new "last updated" date, and will notify you directly if a change materially reduces your rights. Questions, requests and complaints: privacy@policysherpas.com, or write to Privacy Officer, PolicySherpas Insurance Services LLC, 4651 Salisbury Rd, Suite 400, Jacksonville, FL 32256. You may also contact your state department of insurance or attorney general at any time.
