Terms of service

Last updated August 2026. Please read these terms before using the site or submitting a quote request.

1. Agreement

By using www.policysherpas.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. These terms are between you and PolicySherpas Insurance Services LLC, 4651 Salisbury Rd, Suite 400, Jacksonville, FL 32256.

2. What this site is, and is not

Nothing on this site is an offer of insurance, a binder, or a guarantee of coverage, price or eligibility. Submitting a quote request does not create coverage. Coverage exists only when a carrier issues a policy, you pay the required premium, and any delivery requirements are satisfied. Until then you are uninsured.

We are an independent insurance producer. We are not an insurance company and we do not underwrite risk or pay claims. Claims are paid by the carrier that issued your policy, subject to that policy's terms, conditions and exclusions. Where this site describes coverage, the actual policy contract controls in every case of conflict.

3. Licensing and product availability

PolicySherpas holds resident and non-resident insurance producer licenses in 47 states and the District of Columbia under National Producer Number 21094887. We may only transact insurance business in states where we and the relevant carrier are licensed and appointed. Products, policy forms, rates, riders and availability vary by state and are subject to carrier underwriting approval. Not every product described here is available in every state.

4. Financial and advisory services

Financial planning and wealth management services described on this site are offered through an affiliated registered investment adviser. Nothing on this site is individualised investment, tax or legal advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any security, or an offer to provide advisory services where we are not registered or exempt. Advisory relationships begin only under a signed written agreement that discloses fees, scope and conflicts. Past performance does not predict future results, and all investing involves the risk of loss, including loss of principal. Consult a qualified tax professional or attorney about your own situation.

5. Calculators and illustrative figures

The coverage, retirement and rebuild-cost calculators on this site are educational estimating tools. They use simplified assumptions, ignore inflation and taxes unless stated, and do not account for your full circumstances. Premiums, rates and cost tables shown anywhere on this site are illustrative examples for a hypothetical applicant and are not quotes. Your actual premium is determined by the carrier after underwriting.

6. Medicare disclosure

We are not connected with or endorsed by the United States government, the federal Medicare program, or the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to the plans we do offer. Please contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE, or your State Health Insurance Assistance Program for information on all of your options.

7. Your responsibilities

  • Accuracy. Answer application questions completely and truthfully. Material misrepresentation can allow a carrier to rescind a policy or deny a claim during the contestability period.
  • Authority. Submit information about another person only if you have the legal right to do so, and confirm insurable interest where required.
  • Age. You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract in your state.
  • Lawful use. Do not attempt to breach, overload, reverse engineer or automate access to the site, and do not submit false requests.

8. Intellectual property

The content, design, code, guides, calculators and marks on this site are owned by PolicySherpas or its licensors. You may read, print and share pages for personal, non-commercial use with attribution. You may not republish, scrape, resell or use our content to train a commercial model without written permission.

9. Third-party links

We link to government agencies, regulators and research organisations for verification. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any figure on it is current, since governing amounts change annually.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PolicySherpas and its officers, employees and affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or business interruption, arising from your use of this site — even if we were advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to one hundred United States dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits any right you have under your insurance policy or under applicable insurance law, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify PolicySherpas against claims, losses and reasonable legal fees arising from your breach of these terms, your submission of inaccurate or unauthorised information, or your unlawful use of the site.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing anything, contact us at hello@policysherpas.com so we can try to resolve it — most issues are resolved this way within days. Disputes not resolved informally within 30 days shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Duval County, Florida, and each party consents to that venue. This section does not affect your right to file a complaint with your state department of insurance, or your rights under an arbitration or appraisal clause in an insurance policy, which are governed by that policy and state law.

13. Changes, severability and contact

We may update these terms and will change the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept it. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Questions: hello@policysherpas.com or (904) 555-0142.
